I’m not a Witch lol

Monday, May 31st, 2010

While Ray and I were waiting at the Greek restaurant for the others this raven kept on staring at me from the fence next to us. Since I always talk to animals, I started talking to him/her too. The raven must have found this so interesting that it jumped on my arm.
raaf Im not a Witch lol

Then it starting checking out my leather jacket to see whether it was edible and everytime I talked at it, it looked at me like it understood what I said. I’m sure that it’s so used to people feeding it that it has become very tame but it was funny nevertheless.

I came up with this post’s title because I’ve been reading books about green witchcraft (by Ann Moura). While reading it I noticed how much George Lucas stole from it and other old ways of life like Tao and Buddhism and many others.
In the end it pretty much all comes down to 1 thing : manipulating (Universal) Energy. I’ve always found this subject very interesting, especially since I can see basic Aura’s, so it’s my current study subject. I’m going to start a page about it and I’ll let you know when it’s done.

On a side note : this will probably be the last photo of me with my glasses since I’m going to try out lenses. My glasses need to be replaced anyway since my eyes have gotten a little bit worse since I had them made for bridge watch-duty 8 years ago.

More shape-ups and a iPhone

Sunday, May 30th, 2010

My finances are finally looking better so I decided to treat myself to some nice goodies I’ve been wanting to get for a while.

These are my new shoes :
shape-ups hydrate

I simply love my other shape-ups but I don’t really like how they look under a skirt, so I decided to get a summer pair too. They’re so comfy and it’s easier on my back to go for long walks so to me they’re definitely worth another 100 euro’s.

I also treated myself to a iPhone 3GS which I’ll get this Tuesday.
I know it’s a lot of money to spent on myself but I simply love gadgets and this way I’ll have everything conveniently in 1.
A phone, GPS, the internet, a organizer, a grocery list, a agenda, games, twitter, facebook and whatever app that also looks fun/useful.

This afternoon there wil be a Knight themed festival at our local forest we hope that it will be dry when we go. Todays weather is really crappy but we both like stuff like that to much to miss.

Tonight we’re taking our parents and younger brother to dinner at a Greek restaurant. We had already promised to do it for x-mas but due to those annoying finances, it was simply to expensive. I have never eaten Greek food so i’m sure that it will be a interesting experience. Everybody keeps on telling me it’s great so I’m sure that they’ll have something even a picky eater like me likes.

Work, names and some sad news

Wednesday, May 19th, 2010

Last week I got call from a company that helps schools find people to take care of children who stay at school for their lunchbreak (overblijfkracht) and they told me they finally got some work for me and whether I could start the next week. (Note : at a lot of Dutch schools children from the age of 4-12 go home for their lunchbreak on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Wednesdayafternoon is always off for them.)
So since Monday I finally have a job. It’s only 1 hour and 15 minutes a day but between fitness and charity work and seeing my psychologist every other week, it’s still nearly to much for me. Next week I will go to a different school and I have no idea whether they will need me all 4 days. I get 11 euro’s every time I work so that’s not bad at all. At least I can finally earn some money that I can really spent for myself. ;-)

I finally have some names for my mice after watching them and playing with them for 10 days.

Meet
Caria

Daria

and Haria
haria

I noticed that Caria is really careful, Daria is really daring and not even afraid of Chewie and Haria just loves to sit in my hair.
I know that their names aren’t very original and at first I had wanted to go with more fancy sounding ones but they are more fun this way. ;-)

As for the sad news : last Monday I had to put down poor Kipje. He was getting more and more aggressive and when I examined him I noticed bumps underneath his skin and a tumor underneath his chin. The poor thing must have been in so much pain to turn that aggressive.
