Mothers Day 2010 I bought my first mice. They were born on April 9th and they’re sisters.

After watching them and playing with them for 10 days I finally decided their names.

Meet
Caria

and Haria (who died June 16 2010)

I noticed that Caria is really careful, Daria is really daring and not even afraid of Chewie and Haria just loves to sit in my hair.

Update May 29th 2010 : Daria was finally daring enough to walk on my hand when I put it in their aquarium. I’ve been doing this for a few days now to see whether I get them to go out on their own.

Update June 5th 2010 : they will all walk on my hand/arm on their own now.

Update June 16th 2010 : Haria just died in my arms. She had a fast growing tumor. May she rest in peace. :’(

Update July 13th 2010 : Yesterday I bought 2 more mice.

I’m calling the B/W one Zora, which is based on Zoro because of her mask and cape-like markings. I don’t have a name for the light brown one yet but I’ll think of something.

Update July 15th 2010 : I just spent the last 2 hours “upgrading” the plastic box I’ve been keeping them in (the aquarium was to heavy and awkward to clean) and added a extra level. They really seem to like it.

Update July 24th 2010 : I finally found a name for the light brown mouse : Taja, this comes from the Old French word tané which means light brown and Raymond jokingly asking whether there was a Taja too (in English you can see the names as Tano and Tayes. )

Update August 5th 2010 : I got a new box for them. This is a 130l one and more then 1.5 times as big as the former one.
