How I got into cooking.
I never had to cook when I was still living with my parents and didn’t have the slightest interest in it.
Sure, my mother had taught me the basics and I sometimes made myself a omelet or something but that was pretty much it.
This all changed when I moved in with, now, my ex-husband.
Since he was working, the responsibilities of the household were on my shoulders. And those included cooking.
In the beginning I was really unsure what I was doing. Especially since I wasn’t used to cooking on gas. My parents don’t have gas and it really is quite different.
I slowly got more and more used to cooking and eventually started to try out all kinds of recipes. As I became more confident, I started to change recipes and made them my own. At this point I really started to like it.
It just gives me a good feeling when I cook something that not only turns out well but people also like and ask me the recipe for.
