Making the refried beans.
Total preparation time : ~3.5 hours
1) Boil the beans in a frying pan for about 5 minutes.

2) Take it off the heat, cover it and let it stand for 1 hour.
3) Rinse off the beans, refill the pan with water and bowl it for 2 hours.

4) Drain the water, put the beans in the mixing bowl and mash them with the potato masher.
5) Heat up the oil in the frying pan, add the beans and fry them for about 5 minutes.
6) Add the milk, mix it well and let it stand until it’s all heated up.

Preparing the meat.
Total preparation time : ~15 minutes
1) If needed : cut up the meat into small pieces
2) Cook the meat until it’s fully cooked in the other frying pan.

Note : I always start on the meat before I mash the beans in step 4.
Making the burrito.
1) Heat up the tortilla in the microwave or above your stove.
2) Lay the tortilla flat on your plate.
3) Add the ingredients you like in the middle while making sure that you have enough empty space in the bottom (and the top if you prefer that) and sides to close it.
I always start with the sour cream and then put on the beans, meat, cheese, onion, salsa and lettuce since that is the easiest way to add it and it sticks together better.

4) First fold 1 side close, then the lowest (and top) part and then the other side and enjoy your burrito!

I always leave the top open since I eat it straight away anyway. If you prepare them in advance then it’s best to close all the sides so nothing falls out.
